American Collectors Insurance is proud to support The Road Home, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing returning veterans with social, training, and employment opportunities in the automotive restoration industry.

Founded by a group of compassionate automotive enthusiasts, The Road Home has developed a network of restoration, hot rod, and custom shops ready, willing, and able to welcome a veteran into their day-to-day operations.

In 2011, this vision came to life in the form of The Road Home, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by a group of compassionate and generous automotive enthusiasts.

The mission of The Road Home is clearly stated in our motto: We aim to help restore lives, one classic car at a time.

The Road Home feels that the automotive restoration industry and the collector cars at its heart make a unique platform on which opportunities can be built. After all, many veterans have mechanical aptitude and training — and who doesn't love classic cars?

Both the returning veteran and the auto shop agree to a short-term commitment at a predetermined level of engagement – from just hanging out, to hands-on training, to paid employment.

American Collectors Insurance is the charter sponsor of The Road Home and with their help, The Road Home are currently in the process of building their own network of host facilities and veterans. If you would like more information about The Road Home click here.
