One of the biggest worries among car collectors today is what oil they should use in their cars. As the zinc and phosphorous content continues to drop in modern motor oils on the corner parts store shelves, the risk of damaging the engines in our collector cars continues to increase. The resulting wiped-out camshafts and other mayhem can cost a pretty penny, and even destroy irreplaceable pieces of history, which is why we at Hammings decided to offer a new brand of motor oil formulated specifically for collector cars.

Since the lack of zinc in modern motor oils became a problem, we've seen all sorts of complicated responses; we've even heard of guys crushing up zinc tablets from their pharmacy and putting the zinc powder into their crankcases. THe new Hemmings Motor News Motor Oil makes it simple to get the right oil for your classic car, with an SJ rating (meaning it offers more than 1,600 parts per million of zinc and more than 1,500 ppm of phosphorous) and wit h a formulation that is designed to work with both forced induction and naturally aspirated engines and with engines running on high octane and exotic fuels.

The oil comes in three weights- a synthetic blend 10W30, a full synthetic 15W50, and a synthetic blend 20W50.- and is sold by the case of six only through Hemmings Motor News. For more information, visit Hemmings.com/ClassicOil
